Got a new essay out, in one of my favorite African lit mags, Brittle Paper.
It’s called On Ableism & Writing Advice. It’s about how ableist most writing advice is.
It’s also about Autism, as nearly everything I write nowadays is related to it.
It’s like finding out you’ve had a twin sibling who lived one house down from you all your life, but somehow you never recognized them. Then, one day, you met them.
And all you can do is think about them, talk about them, wonder what life would’ve been like if you’d met them earlier. But what if’s are for heaven. This is earth.
